Iphone from Cingular, or New AT&T is just around the corner, that is if you live close to authorized factory AT&T store. Last week, on Cingular wireless number 31 Nascar, AT&T blue globe logo mysteriously appeared behind right rear tire. AT&T has announced that iPhone will be available at the store at same time as online. Traditionally, new phones were introduced on the web store before it went to the store. With no trend setting phones in the market today, a lot of people are waiting patiently on iphones.

iPhone 3G

Being a prior owner of the original iphone - this is a nice improvement. One of the things I noticed right away is how much nicer this phone feels in your hand. The old phone had that aluminum backing - which was actually a little slippery and caused me to drop the phone a few times. The new phone has a sculpted backing and is all plastic and that plastic actually seems to stick to my hand better - without feeling sticky at all. I love being able to install apps directly on my phone - without them all being web-based. Anxious for the coming months to see more apps added all the time. Contrary to what many others say - the keyless keyboard is the best. I love that the iphone has very few external buttons - all my old phones over time just had buttons break off or fail to work properly - not with the iphone - its sleek and is just awesome! There are also some iphone 3g accessories to accommodate the protection of the cell phone or improve it.

AT&T had recently announced their plans to acquire small-time competitor Dobson Communications, which competes with AT&T in 16 different states nationwide. The acquisition of Dobson will allow AT&T to further strengthen and broaden its networks, taking advantage of areas where Dobson's network was once dominant to AT&T's. This will allow AT&T to extend its service and products, such as the iPhone, to areas like Alaska that couldn't once access these products before. This is a big move by AT&T, as it is going to cost them about $5 billion to complete this acquisition, which includes Dobson's $2.3 billion outstanding debt. If all goes as planned, things should be nearing completion by December.

Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman for AT&T

[poocha.jpg]
When it comes to music phones, the first name that would come to mind (almost 100% of the time) is Sony Ericsson. Undoubtedly, the Sony Ericsson brand has firmly cemented itself as a leader in that particular area, especially with the tie-up of the Walkman brand. AT&T knows that they have music lovers in their demographics. That's why AT&T has included in their list the Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman.
The Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman is a great phone for a clamshell. Its unique flip look alone sets this SE mobile phone apart from the other clamshells from the market. Although one may have a hard time customizing this phone with
cell phone accessories, the overall performance of this phone will definitely compensate for it.
As a music phone, the Sony Ericsson W300i Walkman can represent. No doubt it can even stand toe-to-toe against the iPod and its array of
iPod accessories and iPod cases. If you want supra-natural music experience with this phone, you better pair it off with the meanest sound blasters out there. Better yet if it's Bluetooth-capable.
